Yashraj Khaitan is the Founder and CEO of Polaris, an energy technology company founded out of Berkeley, California. The company develops and commercializes path breaking technology for a smarter electricity grid and energy analytics to help Utilities and Businesses radically reduce their energy losses. Yashraj started working on Polaris (earlier Gram Power) when he was 19 and prior to that worked on cutting edge solar cell research as a high school student. He completed his undergraduate studies in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California - Berkeley and then dropped out of his post graduate program to start and scale Polaris. As the CEO, he focuses on partnerships, strategy and building the overall technology vision and portfolio for the company. While the company started off with building low-cost solar products and microgrids for rural electrification, it today is one of the market leaders for smart metering solutions for the national grid in India and is managing over 100,000 kW of power in over 15 cities across the country. Yashraj was honored with the Global Indian Award by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and recently was also chosen in the Forbes 30 under 30 List 2019.

Sayantan Lahiri joined I Squared Capital as an Operating Director in 2018 before becoming a Principal in the Investment team in Singapore.

Before joining I Squared Capital, an independent, multibillion-dollar global infrastructure investment company with six offices around the world, Sayantan spent over eight years at UTI Asset Management Company, one of the leading asset managers in India. As a Principal, Sayantan was instrumental in setting up the Infrastructure Private Equity business at UTI. He was actively involved in deal sourcing, portfolio management and investor relations. At UTI, Sayantan had managed investments in oil storage, engineering, procurement, and construction, renewable, manufacturing and healthcare.

Prior to joining UTI, Sayantan had worked in the proprietary infrastructure desk at Wachovia focusing on infrastructure investments in India. Before that Sayantan had worked in the Credit Structuring at Deutsche Bank Group.

Sayantan is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur where he received a B.Tech in Engineering. He received an MBA in finance from India Institute of Management, Lucknow, and is a chartered CFA.

Sandeep Lakhanpal is a Principal of I Squared Capital, focused on deal sourcing and diligence in India.

Prior to joining I Squared Capital in 2021, Sandeep spent six years at Cube Highways, an investment platform of ISQ Global Infrastructure Fund I set up in Singapore with a mandate to acquire and operate transportation assets in India, mainly highways, logistics and other urban infrastructure, where he headed M&A and business development activities.

Before Sandeep joined Cube Highways in 2015, he spent 8 years working at Ernst & Young where he was promoted to Vice President. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Manager for over a year at CRISIL, an advisory services company focused on Public Private Partnership projects.

Sandeep is a graduate of Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies and Punjab Technical University, where he received an MBA and Bachelor of Technology with a focus on Electrical Engineering respectively. Sandeep is fluent in English and Hindi.

Kishore Khaitan, a distinguished Director and entrepreneur, holds an MBA with distinction from Boston University, USA, and boasts an impressive 40-year career in the manufacturing industry. His entrepreneurial journey includes the successful turnaround of three family-owned companies and the establishment of a new business focused on machinery and components for the paper industry. Presently serving as the Chairman of a company specializing in smart solar micro-grids and grid monitoring solutions, he concurrently holds the position of MD at Basant Fibertek (P) Ltd., a leading manufacturer and exporter of precision components for textile spinning machinery.

Beyond his corporate roles, Kishore Khaitan is the Founder Trustee of the Nathmaljee Institute for Entrepreneur Mentorship, where he actively provides guidance to young entrepreneurs in scaling up their businesses. His commitment to industry development is evident through his leadership roles in various trade bodies, including President of the Indian Textile Accessories & Machinery Manufacturer's Association and Founder Chairman of the Indian Green Building Council Jaipur Chapter. He has also contributed to the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) as Past Chairman of the Rajasthan Council and played vital roles in other esteemed organizations like the Indo American Chamber of Commerce and Indian Technical Institute, Jaipur.

Rajeev Sharma is a seasoned professional with 35 years of comprehensive experience across the power sector value chain. Currently serving as the Non-Executive Chairman and Director of Polaris, he holds key advisory and director positions at various Tata companies, JSW Group entities, PTC, and numerous other energy firms. With a rich background spanning EESL, PFC, REC, POWERGRID, the Ministry of Power, and CEA, he possesses expertise in the Transmission and Distribution sectors from his two years at Powergrid. His extensive experience includes over five years of policy-making and power sector development at the Ministry of Power and more than 13 years with the Central Electricity Authority.

Rajeev is a key member of significant committees in the power sector, contributing to initiatives like DDUGJY, IPDS, National Smart Grid Mission, Central Advisory Committee (CERC), and the High-Level Empowered Committee chaired by the Cabinet Secretary. His profound technical expertise, rooted in an engineering background, has been recognized with multiple prestigious national-level awards.
