Uttar Pradesh is witnessing a smart meter revolution aimed at improving transparency, safety and convenience for electricity consumers. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the power distribution system is becoming more reliable and digital. UPPCL has so far installed over 6.265 million smart meters against a target of 30.9 million, marking a major step towards modernising the state’s power infrastructure.
